FAQ'S

Your certification can be done 100% entirely online through our pre-recorded lectures paired with our scheduled calls for group discussion and case studies. That said, each training does come with an optional live graduation weekend event in Las Vegas. It’s not mandatory to get certified, but it is a fun opportunity to all train and learn together in an in-person setting.

Students in the Teacher Training program will have access to all online materials + coaching and mentorship leading up to their certification. Students in the Practitioner Track (PracTrack) will have access to just the online pre-recorded material that pertains to handstand practice only, with no group calls or homework assignments, coaching assessment, or mentorship. The PracTrack is simply for those students who want to advance their personal practice but aren’t interested in pursuing teaching. The full Teacher Training is meant specifically for those who are pursuing Handstand Coaching and want to get certified through our method.

For our Level 1 Training, we meet every other weekend through Google Meet or Zoom. These calls will be a discussion of the pre-recorded lecture material inside the course (Anatomy, Coaching, Programming, Personal Branding). In later Modules, these live calls will also be where you present your case study from your sample student, including photos and videos of them performing specific skills and drills. As much as we’d love to let everyone into our Level 1 training, Handstand Coaching is a skill-based craft, so we do require that certain benchmarks be met before joining. For example, a 30-second hold, along with a consistent practice of at least 3x per week, is the baseline. For the full list of prerequisites, please check out the Level 1 Info Page.

Yes. Our Level 1 Certification program is recognized by Yoga Alliance, and can be added to your YA list of credentials upon graduation. But with that said, this is NOT a yoga certification in any way, and does not qualify you as a 200-hr certified yoga teacher. We are in the process of finalizing our Level 2 curriculum and will submit to YA for approval upon completion.

After graduating from The Handstand School, you will have the option of joining our monthly online trainings so you can continue advancing your training and coaching skills. You can also choose to be added to our Coaches Page so students can find you through our site! Some THS graduates will be invited to lead future classes, workshops, and full trainings under the THS brand.
